Social and Emotional Learning at MSE
This week's SEL topic was Listening to Learn.
Third grader Maesyn found our SEL mascot, Blue Moon, hiding in her classroom this week. When asked what she learned during this week's SEL lesson she replied, "When you listen to learn you remember more and you will get smarter".

Friday Bucket Filler Winner
Tommie is the proud winner of a sandwich certificate from Mt. Shasta Market! She won the award for being a leader in class.
Cheers were heard emanating from Tommie's classroom as her name was read during morning announcements! Great job Tommie! 🤩
Bucket Filler Thursday
Davis was so excited to be announced the winner of this week's Principal's Pass! He won the pass for showing respect and responsibility in class.
Great job Davis!
Mrs. Burker's 3rd grade recently studied the artist, Dale Chihuly, and recreated his blown glass Macchia.
The process involved painting plastic craft sheets with acrylic paint, draping the paper over a bowl/cup and drying it for 8 minutes with a heat gun. The students were very creative in their designs and had a wonderful time!
#attendance matters
We have the sweetest kids!
During snack and lunch break our students have the opportunity to place their newly earned bucket drops into the drawing box near the front office. Each and every day I hear the rush of feet in the hallway and the wishes those students place on those bucket drops as the students send them off for selection.
The drawings are held on Thursday and Friday and if we listen close enough, we can hear the cheers coming from the classroom of the winners!
We love our students, their hard work and their encouragement! 💙

Principal for the Day
Thank you to CHP Officer Erin Parmeter for visiting our school today! The students learned all about the busy and rewarding world of law enforcement. Officer Parmeter answered various questions from each grade level and gave them a tour of the patrol car. A big thank you from MSE! 🚓💙
